Booking & Payment

When you book in the dates for your personalised retreat, we request a 50% deposit of the cost. The balance must be paid in full, 30 days before you start the retreat.

If you book 30 days or less before your retreat, payment of the full balance will be required at the time of booking.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Our policy reflects the work involved before you attend Retreats in Crete.

Refunds

Should you change your mind for any reason you can cancel your booking in writing (email), with the following terms applying:

  • 100% refund of monies paid if canceled 30+ days before the start date.

  • 50% refund of monies paid if canceled 15-29 days before the start date.

  • 0% refund of monies paid if canceled less than 15 days before the start date.

Please be aware that no refunds, credits, or transfers will be given for no-shows, late arrival or early departure from the retreat, unused days, travel delays, adverse weather conditions, earthquakes, or any other natural disasters.

We strongly recommend that you purchase valid holiday insurance in case of cancellation on your part.

Rescheduling

We are happy to reschedule the dates of your retreat if we have availability. Any change of dates must be agreed in writing.

We can agree to change your dates with no additional fees, if you let us know at least 30 days in advance, before the start of your retreat.

An administrative fee will be charged for any change of dates request given with less than a 30 day-notice, as follows:

· £500 for any dates changed between 15 – 29 days prior to the start of your retreat.

· £1,000 fee for any dates changed 10 – 15 days prior to the start of your retreat.

· £1,200 for changes 3 – 10 days before the start of the retreat.

· It is not possible to change the dates of your retreat with less than 72-hours’ notice.

​Transfer of Your Balance to a 3rd Party

If you can no longer make the retreat but would like to transfer your balance (including the deposit) to a 3rd party to take your place on the retreat for the same dates and for the same price, we are happy to arrange this.

In this case, we must be notified with at least 10 days before the start of your retreat.

The 3rd party must contact us to discuss their requests or preferences. If these are different from yours, they we will endeavour to accommodate them within the limits of availability and of the total overall cost you paid for the retreat. For any additional requests, you, or your nominated 3rd party will be invoiced separately.

Cancelation by Us

In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by us, due to reasons beyond our control, all payments, including your deposit will be returned to you in full within 14 days of the cancellation. Of course, if you prefer it, we can reschedule your dates, or give you a credit voucher to spend at a time that's convenient for you.

Disclaimer Related to Changes or Cancellations

We believe the information on our website and about our retreats is correct. However, in the event of staff/business partners’ cancellations, weather conditions, mechanical faults, civil unrest, or other situations outside of our control, we may have to alter or change your retreat.

We do not accept liability for any costs incurred as a result of any of the following: cancellations, delays or changes caused by extreme weather, war, technical problems causing travel delays, industrial action, natural disaster or other events beyond our control, (including those mentioned in the previous paragraph), loss of or damage to personal property of guests.

Partners, Suppliers, & 3rd Party Service Providers

Retreats in Crete (hereby also known as the “retreat organiser”) collaborates with a wide range of business partners, suppliers, and 3rd party service providers to create your unique, high-quality, personalised retreat.

We prioritise the careful selection of our partners, suppliers, subcontractors, and 3rd party service providers. Our primary objective is to ensure that they are reliable, trustworthy, and capable of delivering professional, safe, and reliable services to you, our valued client (hereby also known as the “retreater”).

Bookings for 3rd party services, such as accommodation, airport transfers, excursions, sports, restaurant bookings, made on your behalf by Retreats in Create are subject to the terms and conditions set out by the provider of the service.

While we make every effort to assess the quality and security of the services provided by these external parties at the time we recommend, book, or hire them for you, we acknowledge that we cannot guarantee their performance when you use their services. It is important to understand and note that Retreats in Crete does not directly control, manage, or operate these services. Therefore, we assume no liability for any issues that may arise from the use of the services they offer.

For this reason, we strongly advise you to familiarise yourself with the policies, terms & conditions of each of these service providers before using their services and remind you that when using or participating in third-party services, you must comply with their rules, regulations, and advice, as well as with all applicable laws.

Some of the activities listed on our website which you may choose in your personal retreat include, but are not limited to extreme and adventure sports like cross country mountain miking, caving, rock climbing, free climbing, mountaineering, horse riding, canyoning, gorge walking, off road bikes, surfing, water-skiing, kitesurfing, cliff jumping, coasteering, scuba diving, jet skiing, sailing, sky diving, wing suiting, bungee jumping, hang gliding, paragliding etc). These activities involve a high degree of personal risk. Whilst a personal retreat is about your uniqueness, and it can be therapeutically beneficial to express yourself and face mental and physical challenges, it remains your responsibility to assess your own physical and mental capabilities and consult with appropriate professionals to ensure your safety and suitability for any such third-party services and activities.

Retreats in Create do not warrant the standard or performance of any 3rd party services and in no event shall the retreat organiser be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of any third-party services during the retreat. Please read the Disclaimer below very carefully before utilising any third-party services provided for your retreat. That said, we want to assure you that we take our responsibility seriously and continuously strive to collaborate with reputable and bona-fide service providers to ensure your satisfaction.

We remain committed to maintaining a strong network of partners and continuously monitoring their performance to uphold our standards and meet your expectations.

Disclaimer: Third-Party Services for Personalised Retreat

This disclaimer outlines important information regarding your use of these services and sets forth the terms and conditions governing your interactions with third-party service providers that were booked by Retreats in Crete. By accessing or using any third-party services, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions stated herein.

1. Independent Services: The third-party services offered during the retreat are provided by a wide range of partners, suppliers, subcontractors and independent service providers. These services may include transportation, accommodation, activities, tours, guides, excursions, wellness practices, fitness activities, extreme and adventure sports, animal services, or any other services not directly provided by the retreat organiser. Retreats in Crete does not directly control, mange or operate these services.

2. Independent Contractors & Business Partners: All third-party service providers are considered independent contractors, separate from Retreats in Crete, the retreat organiser. They operate under their own terms, rules, conditions, and obligations. The retreat organisers assume no responsibility or liability for the actions, omissions, or negligence of these third-party service providers.

3. No Endorsement: The inclusion of third-party services in the retreat program does not imply any guarantee of the quality, safety, or suitability of those services by the retreat organiser. The retreat organiser merely facilitates the availability of these services for the convenience of the retreater. It is your responsibility, as a retreater to assess the suitability, quality, and safety of any third-party services that you engage with during the retreat. Participants and attendees of the retreat are responsible for exercising their own judgment and due diligence when engaging with third-party services.

4. Liability Limitation: In no event shall the retreat organisers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of any third-party services during the retreat. This includes but is not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or any other losses or liabilities that may occur. Retreaters agree to indemnify and hold the retreat organiser harmless from any such claims.

5. Assumption of Risks: Retreaters, participants and attendees acknowledge and accept that any activities, services, or products provided by third-party service providers may involve inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, physical injury, illness, property damage, financial loss, or any other negative outcomes. By participating in any third-party services, attendees voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that the retreat organiser shall not be held responsible for any resulting consequences.

6. Personal Responsibility: Retreaters, participants and attendees are solely responsible for their own well-being, including the decisions they make regarding engaging with third-party services. It is the responsibility of individuals to assess their own physical and mental capabilities and consult with appropriate professionals to ensure their safety and suitability for any third-party services.

7. Contracts and Agreements: Even when facilitated by the retreat organiser, any contracts or agreements entered into between you, the retreater and third-party service providers are strictly between the parties involved. The retreat organiser shall not be responsible for any disputes, breaches, or failures to perform on the part of the third-party service providers.

8. Release of Claims: To the maximum extent permitted by law, you hereby release the retreat organiser, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or related to your use of third-party services during the retreat.

9. Compliance with 3rd Party Service Providers Policies: Our clients are requested that they familiarise themselves with the policies and terms & conditions of each of these service providers before using their services. While participating in third-party services, you must comply with all applicable laws, as well as regulations, and policies of the service providers. Any violations or misconduct may result in the cancellation of services and could be subject to legal action by the service provider.

By utilising any third-party services during the retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this disclaimer. You also acknowledge that you release the retreat organiser, Retreats in Crete, from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from their engagement with third-party services.

It is essential to carefully review the specific terms and conditions provided by each service provider before engaging in any services. If you do not agree with any part of this disclaimer, please refrain from using the third-party services, or from booking their activity as part of your personalised retreat.

Weather Conditions

Weather conditions may affect your personalised retreat, itinerary and stay in Crete. Some of the activities booked for your personalised retreat may be impacted due to weather conditions. If we or our partners, suppliers or 3rd party service providers suspect weather conditions are not appropriate, we might reschedule the activities. If it is not possible to reschedule, we will cancel the activities, arrange an alternative suggestion or a refund for that particular activity.

Complaints Procedures

In the unlikely event that difficulty arises during your personalised retreat, you should advise Retreats in Create who will endeavour to resolve the difficulty as soon as possible. We encourage you to address any grievance about the 3rd party services by approaching the respective provider(s) directly and immediately, before raising the issue with us and to retain any evidence you may have related to the complaint. Please note that no liability can be accepted for any complaint where a retreater has not followed the complaints procedure and contacted us by email.
